Our Work
In the course of realising our dream of making CHeCK a reality we have made the following efforts so far:
Refurbishment
The first order of business that we got to in order to set up CHeCK was the refurbishment of the health centre. For this we gathered a team of volunteers who helped clean and repaint the structure, redid all the electrical wiring, installed lights, and made other repairs necessary to make CHeCK functional and fit to help the people. Further, the facility was restocked with all the necessary equipment and apparatus so that it could best serve the medical needs of the patients who visit here.
Waiting Area
We also constructed a dedicated waiting area for CHeCK, so that the visitors would have a place to catch their breath before seeing the doctors. This waiting area was furnished with tables and comfortable seating space, a water cooler, toys for younger visitors and informative medical resources such as books and magazines.
Staffing
To bring back the soul of the institution, we also saw to the hiring of adequate staff to run CHeCK. So far, this includes a full-time general physician who administers all incoming patients, while we are in the process of approaching and hiring more doctors and nursing staff.
